To celebrate the release of the Mad Max video game, yesterday Uber were offering rides in Wasteland Warrior vehicles around Seattle. Since money is useless in the wasteland, anyone lucky enough to get a ride in one of these cars was able to for free.

The cars have also been making an appearance at the PAX gaming convention and making an impression on the attendees there too.

This is a great PR stunt and move from Uber as they constantly seem to be under fire for something, particularly in the U.S. Most recently, over here the company was criticised for raising their prices during the London tube strikes.
We’d love to see more of this, especially in London!
