Yesterday we told you about some of the best Christmas campaigns we have seen so far but today they were all blown out of the water with the release of the Starbucks Red Cups. Well, for now at least.
The Starbucks Red Cups officially mark the start of Christmas for coffee lovers out there, and this is certianly true for a couple of us here at Wolf HQ.

#redcups are here and there’s a @starbucksuk Christmas Tree in King’s Cross station that lights up when you use the hashtag! A photo posted by Ashleigh-Jayne O’Connell (@smashleighjayne) on
What’s so amazing about this activity is that people don’t need an excuse to talk about the Red Cups. Every year we are swamped with pictures of them without any kind of incentive. Having an installation to encourage tweeting just amplifies the excitement of the launch. People still don’t get anything from their tweets but they feel a part of something rather than just your bogstandard consumer.
It will be interesting to see whether there are any results available regarding this activity and whether they saw further online engagement as a result of the installation but who kn0ws. BRB, going to get another Toffee Nut Latte.
Are you as excited about the #RedCups as we are, tweet is @WolfBexp and let us know.
